DESCRIPTION:SKCC Weekend Sprintathon (WES) \nUTC Dates and Times\nBegin:  Saturday June 13\, 2026   at 1200Z\nEnd:     Sunday    June 14\, 2026   at  2359Z \nThe event follows the same UTC year-round.  The local time will change as Daylight Saving Time takes effect or ends.    \nEastern Standard Local Dates and Times\nBegins:   Saturday    07:00 a.m.\nEnds:       Sunday       06:59 p.m. \nEastern Daylight Saving Local Dates and Times\nBegins:   Saturday    08:00 a.m.\nEnds:       Sunday       07:59 p.m. \n  \nThis event repeats each month beginning on the second Saturday. \nOperate up to 36 hours. \nEvent Website:  https://www.skccgroup.com/operating_activities/weekend_sprintathon/ \n  \nThe SKCC Weekend Sprintathon often features some type of Bonus Points.\nThe June Bonus Point theme consists of two parts.\nPart 1 — Old Timers.  Operators who were licensed 25 or greater years ago will transmit their name/XX\, where XX is their total number of years the operator has been  licensed.  Stations on the receiving end of such QSOs will sum those XX numbers as their award.\nPart 2 — Summer Bands.  SKCC contacts made on 15\, 10\, and 6 meter bands will be awarded 5 Bonus Points for each such QSO. \n  \nSKCC runs a monthly activity\, which is a great environment for getting comfortable with contest-like CW QSOs. \nThe Weekend Sprintathon (WES) spans a weekend\, each with a fun theme for collecting bonus points.\nThese events provide a great opportunity for those seeking various SKCC recognition levels\, besides contacting friends old and new! \nTypically\, SKCC operators will QRS to the speed of the station calling them. \n
