• Who’s Up?  Our monthly business meetings are streamlined, allowing for presentations & discussion.  Several members have already shared their achievements & stories with the club, for everyone’s enrichment.  Quickly or more in-depth, what story about a notable project, QSO, QSL, award, certificate, etc. do YOU care to share?  We’re listening.

• Beyond the Airwaves began with the 4/4 POTA Picnic (Parks On The Air) at Pine Grove Furnace State Park (US-1398) & Michaux State Forest (US-5471).  A few operated portable stations.  Most folks socialized and ate!  Then 4/18 took the portable POTA activation to Tuscarora State Forest (US-5479), featuring a 55 signal report from Switzerland!  (Both venues suggested great hiking opportunities for non-operating members & guests *hint hint*.)  Lunch dates being discussed.  Stay tuned for more!

• Annual On-The-Air Events.  Derby Day 5/2 is in the books – the logbooks!  Operating from the must-see QTH of Dave Smith W3SOX, several activated the K3IEC club call sign to contact POTA & state QSO party stations.  But even Dave’s amazing antenna farm couldn’t overcome such poor propagation, leaving plenty of time for “local QRM” over pizza.

• Annual On-The-Air Events.  Field Day 6/27 (all day) – 6/28 (a.m),  Shaffer Park, Carlisle. Are you coming?  Just popping in?  Operating?  We’re now finalizing the 2026 Field Day Plan for operations.  We’ll be addressing your expectations for food & programs.  Stay tuned for more!

• Yeah, I’m taking to YOU!  By participating in these & other CARC 2026 events, I’m reminded that this friendly bunch, whose curiosity & can-do spirit, make this a fun & truly inspiring place to be!
